Plot

The story is about a widower named Arthur Kriticos and his two children, who fall into poverty after their old house is destroyed by fire. Their lives seem to gain hope again when they inherit a huge and strikingly modern mansion from an eccentric wealthy uncle named Cyrus, who has died. But nothing is as it seems. The mansion, built entirely of glass and metal, is a mysterious machine that runs on ghost energy. Uncle Cyrus hunted and imprisoned twelve fierce and frightening ghosts in a glass chamber underground.
