From a street orphan to a crime boss
Kaali is a poor orphan living on the streets of Pondicherry with his girlfriend Anthre, who no longer wants to live in poverty and demands money and a better future. Kaali's life changes completely when he meets Malpe Upendra — a ruthless crime boss from Goa who has just been released from prison on conditions and has a face identical to Kaali's.
When Upendra dies by accident in a clash, Anthre persuades Kaali to seize the chance: swap identities and take over the crime boss's property and life outright.

Taking over the crime boss's life brings more than money. Kaali falls into a dangerous underworld, hunted relentlessly by a corrupt police officer named Thiraviyam and by Upendra's enemies.
