## Synopsis

Set in 1936 Shanghai, the story revolves around Mei Yuhe (played by Xu Jiao), a humble seamstress working at the bottom of the social ladder. Her life is shattered when her younger sister, Mei Xiaozhu—a top student at a prestigious school—dies under mysterious circumstances. The authorities quickly label it a "suicide" and hastily close the case. Refusing to accept the official verdict, Mei Yuhe embarks on a dangerous quest for vengeance. She goes as far as dissecting her sister's body herself to uncover the bizarre truth. To infiltrate the elite, she teams up with Ding Zhao (played by Ye Zuxin), a loan shark. Together, they begin stitching together the high society's scandalous secrets, tearing through a dirty web of deception, power, and corruption hidden beneath the glamorous neon lights of Shanghai.
