## Plot

In 1974, an alien hedgehog named Shadow crash-lands in Oklahoma and is captured by the military. Professor Gerald Robotnik conducts experiments on Shadow at a G.U.N. base, where Shadow befriends Maria, Gerald's granddaughter. But during an escape attempt, Maria is accidentally killed in an explosion, and Shadow is put into a long sleep in a prison. Fifty years later, someone unknown frees Shadow from G.U.N.'s prison.
